The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.

Daily Schedule & Daily Equipment

Stick to a routine!

Puppies have been spending the majority of their day in the playpen area.

We always tell our families to have a safe space ready for their babies before bringing your puppy home.

Have a rough idea of what their day will look like. Their days have revolved around the same four tasks.

Daily Routine:
They have slept all night in their bed.
They have not had access to food or water for approximately six hours.
We immediately put them on the potty pad with the command “go potty.” When all have had at least a pee, we snuggle and offer their breakfast.
They get 1/4 cup of food three times per day.
If they eat more than this, there will be excessive poo and pee.

After eating, set your puppy on the pad with the “go potty” command.
They will go both poo and pee.

After potty time we snuggle and play. They will play with toys and wrestle for about 15–30 minutes, then they nap.
As soon as they start stirring, they go back on the potty pad with their “go potty” command.
More playtime and napping. We have the same routine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Food Measurements:
Food measurements will vary. Your baby has been eating from a bowl with littermates. I would begin with 1/4 cup, and if you notice lots of poo, then cut back to see if that helps.
Water is always in the playpen except at bedtime.

Puppy Potty Training Tip:
If possible, only do this until your puppy is fully vaccinated for parvo.

I use a puppy pad holder for puppy pads and it has been a lifesaver.
Puppies love to grab the edge of a pad and drag it across the floor. The holder also prevents them from chewing up pads and becoming a choking hazard, as well as being dangerous for their tummies.

I purchased mine on Amazon, but many pet stores have them.
